Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Rave Islands mobile application, website, organizer dashboard, and related services (collectively, the "Services") operated by Rave Islands (Pvt) Ltd ("Rave Islands," "we," "us," or "our").

By creating an account, purchasing tickets, listing events, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.

You must be at least 18 years old to use Rave Islands. Our Services relate to nightlife, festivals, and ticketed events that may involve age-restricted venues and content.

By using the Services, you represent that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. Organizers must have authority to bind any business or entity they represent.

Rave Islands is an event discovery and ticketing platform focused on parties, festivals, beach events, EDM and techno experiences, and nightlife across Sri Lanka.

We provide tools for users to browse events, follow artists, purchase digital tickets, receive notifications, and indicate attendance intent through features such as Plan To Go.

We also provide organizer tools for creating events, selling tickets, managing entry through QR check-in, and accessing attendance analytics and forecasts.

Rave Islands is a platform provider. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, we are not the organizer, promoter, venue operator, or performer for events listed on the platform.

You may need to create an account to access certain features. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep your account details updated.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that contain false information or violate these Terms.

When you purchase tickets through Rave Islands, you enter into a transaction for admission to an event listed by an organizer. Ticket prices, availability, entry rules, and event details are set by the organizer unless otherwise stated.

Upon successful payment, you will receive a digital ticket, typically in QR format, within the app. Tickets are generally non-transferable unless the organizer or event policy allows transfer.

You agree to present a valid digital ticket, government-issued identification if required by the venue, and comply with event rules, security checks, and venue policies.

We may limit ticket quantities per user, cancel suspicious orders, or refuse service to prevent fraud, scalping, or abuse.

Refund eligibility depends on the organizer's stated refund policy, the nature of the event change, and applicable consumer protection laws in Sri Lanka.

If an event is cancelled, postponed, or materially changed, the organizer is primarily responsible for communicating updates and handling refunds or replacements according to their policy and legal obligations.

Rave Islands may assist with communication and processing where enabled on the platform, but we do not guarantee refunds unless required by law or expressly stated for a specific event.

Chargebacks or payment disputes should be raised through proper channels. Abuse of payment dispute processes may result in account suspension.

Organizers must apply and be approved before selling tickets through Rave Islands. We may request business information, identification, bank or payout details, and event documentation.

Organizers are solely responsible for the accuracy of event listings, pricing, capacity, age restrictions, permits, licenses, safety measures, and compliance with local laws and venue requirements.

Organizers must honor valid tickets sold through the platform, provide timely updates regarding event changes, and maintain reasonable customer support channels for ticket holders.

Organizers grant Rave Islands a limited license to display event names, descriptions, images, schedules, and related promotional content for the purpose of marketing and operating the Services.

We may remove events or suspend organizer accounts that violate these Terms, applicable law, community standards, or platform integrity requirements.

Digital tickets issued through Rave Islands may contain unique QR codes used for validation and entry. Each ticket is intended for single admission unless otherwise specified.

Sharing, duplicating, screenshot abuse, or attempting to use the same ticket multiple times may result in denied entry and account action.

Organizers and authorized staff may scan tickets using platform tools to verify authenticity, record attendance, and prevent unauthorized entry.

Ticket prices, service fees, payment processing costs, and applicable taxes will be displayed during checkout where relevant.

Organizers agree to applicable platform fees, payout schedules, and reconciliation terms presented during onboarding or in the organizer dashboard.

Payments are processed through third-party payment providers. By completing a transaction, you also agree to the applicable payment provider terms.

We are not responsible for delays caused by banks, card issuers, mobile wallets, or external payment networks.

You agree not to misuse the Services. Prohibited conduct includes:

• Violating any applicable law or regulation.
• Posting false, misleading, or fraudulent event information.
• Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users, organizers, artists, or staff.
• Attempting to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
• Scraping, reverse engineering, or interfering with platform operations.
• Using bots or automated tools to purchase tickets unfairly.
• Uploading malware, spam, or harmful content.
• Impersonating another person or entity.

The Rave Islands name, logo, software, design, and platform content are owned by Rave Islands or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of content you submit, but grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content as needed to operate and promote the Services.

You represent that you have the rights necessary to upload or publish any content you provide, including event artwork, artist images, and promotional materials.

Artist profiles may be created or claimed subject to verification. Artists are responsible for the accuracy of bios, genres, links, and promotional content associated with their profiles.

Users may follow artists to receive updates about events and performances. Notification preferences can be managed through account settings.

Rave Islands does not guarantee bookings, performance opportunities, or follower growth for artists listed on the platform.

Plan To Go and similar features allow users to indicate interest in attending events and may display aggregated attendance signals to other users or organizers.

These features are provided for convenience and social discovery. Indicating Plan To Go does not guarantee entry and does not replace ticket purchase where tickets are required.

Organizers may use aggregated interest and attendance analytics to improve event planning. Individual user data is handled according to our Privacy Policy.

The Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Rave Islands does not guarantee that events will occur as scheduled, that venues will be safe or suitable for every user, or that listings are free from error.

We do not control organizer conduct, venue conditions, artist performances, weather, travel disruptions, or third-party services linked through the platform.

You attend events at your own risk and should exercise personal judgment regarding safety, transportation, and health.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Rave Islands and its directors, employees, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Services or attendance at any event.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services shall not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to Rave Islands for the transaction giving rise to the claim in the twelve months preceding the event or one hundred United States dollars (USD 100), except where liability cannot be excluded under applicable law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Rave Islands from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising out of your use of the Services, your content, your organization of events, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created risk for the platform or other users, or where required by law.

You may stop using the Services at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect, including payment obligations, intellectual property terms, disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws.

We may modify these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Material changes may be communicated through the app, website, or email where appropriate. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
